Merged into the app's instrumentation under its lock, never a replacement: the other families, the rules, the retention and this family's triggers, window and limits stay. summary takes no mode (D111: release health is never sampled). Devices take it at their next fetch. Owners and admins, from the console or through their agent with their instrumentation:write grant (Settings > Agents and tokens); never a project token (D117). Audited as instrumentation.update, with via, tool, oauth_client_id and grant_id.
